This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm Metter, GA time, with an hour unpaid break (40 hours per week).

Position Overview: We're seeking a Senior Video Editor to oversee our entire post-production and distribution workflow. You will shape the creative direction of all video/audio assets, transform raw interviews and event footage into engaging content, publish finished pieces on platforms like YouTube and Libsyn, and eventually build and mentor a small editing team as we grow. Collaboration will be with a small team of producers and designers, but independence, proactivity, and data-driven decision-making are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audio Editing: Clean, mix, and master podcast tracks using Adobe Audition, including noise reduction, EQ, compression, and leveling. Remove filler words and pauses while maintaining natural flow.
  • Video Editing: Edit multi-camera interviews and full episodes in Premiere Pro; create short clips and highlight reels; add motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, and perform color correction/ grading.
  • Content Repurposing: Convert long-form content into engaging clips for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and LinkedIn, with subtitles, platform-specific hooks, and correct aspect ratios.
  • Publishing & Distribution: Upload and optimize videos on YouTube (titles, tags, chapters, end screens) and publish audio on Libsyn with accurate metadata and show notes.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor performance, provide insights, and suggest improvements for thumbnails, titles, and content formats.
  • Trend & AI Adoption: Stay updated on editing trends and leverage AI tools like Descript, CastMagic, OpusClip, or Submagic to improve workflows.
  • Workflow & File Management: Organize assets in and Google Drive, follow naming conventions, and manage tasks via ClickUp.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively with team members via Slack, providing timelines, creative input, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition; skills in After Effects.
  • At least 2 years of professional video and audio editing experience, with a portfolio or reel.
  • Experience with multi-camera interviews and dynamic content.
  • Hands-on experience publishing and optimizing content for YouTube and Libsyn.
  • Strong storytelling skills, pacing, hooks, and audience retention strategies.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; comfortable working across time zones.
  • Interest in AI tools to enhance editing efficiency.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with 360° footage or DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
  • Skills in thumbnail testing, motion design, or familiarity with YouTube analytics and podcast KPIs.
