Job Summary

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role involves recording, reconciling, and reporting financial data to support business operations and assist management in decision-making. The Bookkeeper plays a key role in safeguarding company assets by ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all financial matters.


Key Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Maintain general ledgers and ensure accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain petty cash transactions.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing accurate data on employee hours, deductions,  and benefits.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in filing tax returns.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary financial information when required.
  • Assist management in budget preparation and expense monitoring.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Staff, or in a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
