THE OPPORTUNITY

We are in partnership with a leading Australian-owned innovation facilitator, renowned for driving the future of global and domestic businesses. The team is growing and hiring for Design Coordinators to be based in Manila office They specialize in design consultation and quality control inspections for waterproofing systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards in both new construction and remedial projects.

As part of this dynamic team, you'll work closely with the Design Manager, taking on a pivotal role that combines technical expertise and creative problem-solving. An opportunity to leverage and enhance your knowledge in architecture, engineering, and construction while providing insightful advice, detailed assessments, and comprehensive reports on waterproofing design, compliance, materials, and construction challenges.

This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with the majority of work done remotely and occasional onsite reporting—typically once or twice a month, depending on client requirements. Standard working hours align with Australian business hours, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PST).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and evaluate reports for design and material compliance.
  • Contribute to and occasionally lead construction project workshops during design and construction phases.
  • Assist in creating performance solutions and compliance documentation.
  • Draft, revise, and markup designs and details using AutoCAD or Revu.
  • Provide verbal and written advice on waterproofing compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and best practices.
  • Perform analyses based on performance-based design briefs.
  • Regularly interact with clients, primarily in Sydney, with occasional regional and interstate engagements.
  • Collaborate with a professional team while working independently and managing tasks autonomously.
  • Maintain accuracy in file management, billing, and record-keeping.
  • Support the Design Manager with additional tasks as required.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and structural guides, or a willingness to learn.
  • Preferably 2+ years of construction industry experience, particularly in waterproofing and building interfaces (not essential).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revu, or similar software for architectural drawings.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using organizational management software.
  • Ability to work independently to produce documents, with support available for routine tasks.
