Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Bank Loan Monitoring and Management

  • Track all existing bank loans, including principal balances, interest payments, and maturity schedules.
  • Maintain an updated loan monitoring schedule to ensure timely repayment and avoid penalties.
  • Reconcile loan statements and verify bank charges, interest computations, and amortization schedules.
  • Review and analyze loan covenants to ensure full compliance with banking requirements.
  • Coordinate with banks for loan renewals, restructurings, and refinancing as needed.
  • Monitor the company's debt servicing capacity and provide regular reports to management.
  • Evaluate the impact of new and existing loans on company cash flow and profitability.

2. Financial Planning and Cash Flow Management

  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash flow to ensure adequate funds for debt obligations.
  • Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet payment schedules and operational needs.
  • Monitor liquidity ratios and working capital performance in relation to loan commitments.

3. Bank Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with bank officers, credit analysts, and loan officers.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with banks to review performance, compliance, and credit opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit required financial reports, statements, and documentation to lending institutions.
  • Negotiate favorable loan terms, interest rates, and collateral requirements.

4. Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare monthly or quarterly loan monitoring reports for management review.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all bank transactions and loan agreements.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding loan-related accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate finance policies.

5. Financial Analysis and Risk Assessment

  • Analyze loan utilization and determine the cost-effectiveness of each borrowing.
  • Conduct variance analysis on projected vs. actual loan payments.
  • Identify potential risks in loan exposure and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support decision-making by providing insights on the company's debt position and leverage ratios.

6. Strategic Support

  • Advise management on debt optimization and refinancing opportunities.
  • Support business expansion by analyzing potential financing sources.
  • Recommend improvements in financial control systems related to loans and credit facilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (CPA is preferred)
  • Minimum of 3–10 years of experience in finance or accounting with emphasis on bank loan monitoring or treasury management.
  • Strong understanding of loan instruments, banking procedures, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
