Job Summary:
The Payroll Master is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all hotel employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. This role includes managing statutory contributions, handling payroll inquiries, and computing service charge distributions. The Payroll Master plays a crucial role in maintaining fair and transparent payroll practices across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all hotel employees, including regular, contractual, and casual staff.
- Accurately compute and distribute
service charges
in compliance with RA 11360, ensuring 100% distribution to qualified rank-and-file employees. - Maintain updated payroll records, ensuring all changes in employee status (new hires, promotions, terminations) are properly reflected.
- Coordinate with department heads and timekeeping staff to validate attendance, overtime, leaves, holidays, and rest days.
- Ensure accurate computation and timely remittance of statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Prepare payslips and ensure service charge and deductions are clearly itemized.
- Address payroll-related questions and concerns from employees in a professional and confidential manner.
- Generate payroll reports and support internal and external audits.
- Assist in preparing and submitting annual reports such as BIR 2316 and Alphalist.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all payroll data.
- Stay updated on labor law changes and hotel industry payroll practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in payroll processing, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, government compliance (SSS, BIR, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and labor regulations including RA 11360.
- Proficient in Excel and payroll software.
- Detail-oriented, discreet, and highly organized.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
