What is this role about?
This role is responsible for the strategic sourcing, procurement, and inventory management of feedstocks, biomass, chemicals, and by-products to support the continuous and cost-efficient operation of the CME plant. This includes negotiating supplier contracts, ensuring supply reliability, reconciling inventories and payments, managing supplier performance, and collaborating with various departments to align supply activities with production goals. The role also includes identifying buyers for by-products and optimizing purchasing strategies to minimize landed cost and support plant profitability.

What will YOU do?

  • Observe the timely and cost-effective procurement of quality feedstocks, biomass, and chemicals to support uninterrupted CME plant operations
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, including rates, terms, and SLAs, to achieve the most competitive landed cost while ensuring supply continuity
  • Conduct regular supplier assessments and annual evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and service standards; initiate corrective actions when needed
  • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and plant operations to swiftly address and resolve procurement and delivery issues
  • Perform routine reconciliation between received inventories and supplier records to maintain accurate PO balances and avoid payment discrepancies
  • Create monthly supply plans and collaborate with operations teams to optimize inventory levels and improve long-term supply strategies
  • Identify and secure buyers for CME by-products (e.g., glycerol) at or above target prices, ensuring timely sales and additional revenue for the plant
  • Maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers through regular coordination to enhance collaboration and long-term partnership value
  • Prepare and monitor payment requests, liaise with Finance and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies, and ensure timely and accurate payment processing
  • Perform other supply chain and procurement functions as required, including the sale of surplus materials, supplier enrollment, and market trend analysis to support CME plant efficiency and cost targets

What will YOU need?

  • At least 3 years experience in supply chain - with at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in the coconut industry
  • Willing to do field work and travel domestically 
  • Must be willing to be assigned in CME Plant, Irasan, Roxas, Zamboanga Del Norte
