Key Responsibilities:

  • Production & Processing Oversight:

  • Assist in supervising daily seafood processing operations (e.g., cutting, filleting, freezing, packing, cold storage).

  • Ensure all processing activities meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SSOP).
  • Work closely with production supervisors and line leaders to address issues and improve workflow.

  • Quality & Compliance:

  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with export standards (e.g., EU, USFDA, CFIA).

  • Collaborate with QA/QC teams to uphold strict sanitation and food safety protocols.

  • Supply Chain & Inventory:

  • Learn and support raw material receiving, inventory control, and traceability systems.

  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Participate in operational efficiency projects (e.g., reducing waste, improving yield).

  • Analyze data from production reports and propose actionable improvements.

  • Team Management:

  • Shadow supervisors and managers to develop leadership skills.

  • Assist in workforce coordination, labor scheduling, and team motivation.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate production records, batch logs, and incident reports.

  • Prepare regular reports for the operations team and suggest performance improvements.
