The Technical Business Analyst The Technical Business Analyst is a critical, multi-faceted role within the Digital Innovation space, driving initiatives that harness Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced Automation technologies. This position acts as the crucial link between defining business needs and ensuring the streamlined technical delivery of high-impact software solutions. The role combines deep technical analysis and requirement definition with key responsibilities for project management process facilitation,  ensuring the development team operates efficiently and delivers measurable business value.

What does a day in the life as a Technical Business Analyst look like?

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
• Translate requirements into clearly defined, prioritized Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria for the development team.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers, analysts, and data engineers.
• Lead and facilitate core project management cadences to ensure the development team maintains focus, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation to verify that deployed solutions (AI/ML models, automated workflows) deliver the required performance and business outcomes.
• Actively participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on requirement traceability, dependency management, and actively removing team impediments.
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, data flow maps, process documentation, and feature guides.
• Communicate complex technical findings, project status, and risks to stakeholders and or product team in a clear, concise, and actionable manner, providing transparency on the team's velocity and progress.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in Analytics, AI, Machine
• Learning and Automation. Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in AI, Machine Learning, MLOps, and Intelligent Automation to inform product strategy and feasibility assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the successful delivery of digital innovation projects.

What are the required qualifications for a Technical Business Analyst?

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or hybrid BA/Scrum Master role.
• Demonstrated experience working on at least two full-cycle software development projects specifically leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or complex process automation (RPA).
• Proven hands-on experience practicing and facilitating the Scrum framework.
• Expertise in using Trello, Clickup, Jira and or Confluence for backlog management, documentation, and reporting. Familiarity with other project management or ticketing systems is a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of programming concepts. Basic proficiency in Python or other programming languages is highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical and technical troubleshooting skills. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and data-driven concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in using a variety of operating systems and enterprise software applications relevant to technical analysis.
• Familiarity with different cloud platforms is a plus.
