Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Santa Rosa, Laguna

Reports To: Chef  /  Restaurant Owner

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support day-to-day kitchen operations in our startup restaurant. This role includes preparing ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean, helping with basic food preparation, and supporting other staff during busy hours. We value flexibility and a can-do attitude, as everyone in the team may wear multiple hats to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients (washing, peeling, chopping, marinating, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Support cooks and chefs with basic food preparation as needed
  • Receive, organize, and store food supplies and inventory
  • Take charge with dishwashing and cleaning tasks throughout the day
  • Assist with plating and packaging of meals for dine-in, takeout, or delivery
  • Follow proper hygiene and food safety procedures
  • Occasionally assist with front-of-house tasks during peak hours (e.g., serving, runner duties)
  • Perform opening and closing duties in the kitchen when assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
  • Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment or supplies
  • Punctual, respectful, and team-oriented
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
