Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Digital Commerce Head, the SEO Copywriter will be responsible for the on-page copywriting and optimization of company's Shopify stores for search engine discovery and rankings. S/he would audit landing page content, research keywords, map strategy, and write copies on all brand stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative and compelling copy for website pages, product descriptions, landing pages, and promotional campaigns, adhering to brand guidelines and tone of voice.

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to brainstorm and develop innovative concepts and messaging strategies for marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Write engaging and persuasive affiliate marketing campaigns, website blogs, and landing page copies -- including title tag, meta description, body copy, and calls to action, with the goal of driving customer engagement and conversions.

  • Conduct thorough research and gather relevant information to inform and support copywriting efforts, ensuring the accuracy and credibility of content.

  • Optimize website copy and content for SEO, incorporating relevant keywords and best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility.

  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency, as well as adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and best practices for copywriting and content creation.

  • Contribute to the development of brand messaging guidelines, copywriting standards, and content strategy to maintain consistency and cohesion across all channels.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Regular analysis of website structure, rankings, and competitors to improve search engine results.

  • Improvement on SERP keyword ranking of Shopify stores.

  • Proactive measures to address static or declining page rankings.

  • Ownership of SEO tactics, staying up to date with algorithm changes.

  • High level of integrity and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of proven SEO copywriting experience.

  • Experience in Shopify and WordPress.

  • A portfolio showcasing the SEO copywriting experience is required.

  • Exceptional spelling, grammar, and creative copywriting skills.

  • Close attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple projects.

  • Friendly yet professional communication style.

  • Knowledge of SEO Tools (AHRef, SEMRush, Copyscape, Keyword Planner, etc.) is a plus.
