1. Purchasing

· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best combination of quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.

· Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on inventory levels and production requirements.

· Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive continuous improvement.

· Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment processing.


2. Logistics

· Plan and oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure prompt and accurate delivery.

· Coordinate with freight forwarders, couriers, and third-party logistics providers for daily shipments.

· Evaluate and compare freight costs to minimize transportation expenses.

· Optimize logistics routes and warehouse storage to enhance operational efficiency.

· Track and report logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as delivery accuracy and cost per unit.


3. Importation

· Manage all documentation required for import transactions, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

· Regularly communicate with counterparts in Mexico for updates and coordination.

· Liaise with customs brokers, government agencies, and port authorities to ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported goods.

· Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including correct HS code classification, and coordinate with Finance for duties and tax payments.


4. BAI (Bureau of Animal Industry) and Other Regulatory Registrations

· Secure BAI permits for the importation and use of regulated animal products and feed ingredients.

· Ensure full compliance with BAI rules and regulations for production and distribution activities.

· Prepare and submit documentation for the registration, clearance, and renewal of necessary permits.

· Coordinate with BAI officers for inspections, audits, and updates on regulatory policies.


5. Production Coordination

· Schedule and coordinate production based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

· Monitor raw material availability to avoid production interruptions.

· Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure compliance with quality standards and production timelines.

Track production metrics including output, waste, and efficiency to support process improvement initiatives.
