Job Summary:

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store to ensure smooth operations, maximum profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. This role involves managing staff, monitoring inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
  • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Motivate and coach team members to meet performance targets.
  • Sales & Customer Service:
  • Drive sales through effective team leadership and customer engagement.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Operations & Inventory:
  • Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and product displays.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and manage orders and deliveries.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of store cleanliness, safety, and organization.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  • Manage store budgets, control expenses, and identify cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports for upper management.
  • Compliance & Policies:
  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Enforce health, safety, and security procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with retail management software and POS systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position; may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fast-paced retail environment with a focus on standing, walking, and some lifting.
