Job Summary:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store to ensure smooth operations, maximum profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. This role involves managing staff, monitoring inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
- Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
- Motivate and coach team members to meet performance targets.
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Drive sales through effective team leadership and customer engagement.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional manner.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Operations & Inventory:
- Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and product displays.
- Conduct regular stock checks and manage orders and deliveries.
- Ensure proper maintenance of store cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Manage store budgets, control expenses, and identify cost-saving measures.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for upper management.
- Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Enforce health, safety, and security procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with retail management software and POS systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position; may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fast-paced retail environment with a focus on standing, walking, and some lifting.
