Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The buyer is the key individual responsible for handling forecasting, orders, delivery, and other sourcing tasks.
  • Assist with product development for new items.
  • He or she should comprehend fundamental inventory management methods.
  • Responsible for supplier coordination and processing vendor accounts payable.
  • Encode and post all purchase transactions to the system.
  • Work closely with the operations department to ensure that all procurement and inventory flows smoothly.
  • Conducts connection with various departments for addressing product concerns in order to provide feedback to the vendor, which will help expedite the resolutions
  • Do other tasks as directed by the department head.

Qualifications:

  • College degree of Business administration or any equivalent course.
  • Proven experience in Procurement and Merchandising is an advantage
  • Basic Knowledge in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
