Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS). Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Ensure timely submission of statutory requirements such as BIR filings (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax Returns).
Liaise with external auditors, government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR,) and other stakeholders. Stay updated on tax regulations, accounting standards, and other compliance-related changes. Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor the quality of work produced by the team. Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and address challenges. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Evaluate and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining operational efficiency. Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to optimize cash flow cycles. Coordinate with banks for fund transfers, loans, and other financial transactions. Support management in making informed decisions by providing financial insights and recommendations.Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes.
Contribute to business growth initiatives through financial analysis and scenario planning. RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. Experience:Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and other statutory requirements. Experience with MYOB and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
