ABOUT THE ROLE:Develop control budgets and estimates in line with project scope and work breakdown structure across the full project life cycle. Undertake Project Forecasting and Estimate to Complete. Analyse, advise, report on and provide recommendations in relation to financial anomalies, such as cost over-runs and variance in actual costs from budgeted costs.

Earned Value Analysis, Cost Reporting and Cost Performance evaluation. Variance analysis - trend, risk and opportunity identification. Provide data on project cost performance and participate in the review of overall project status and forecasts with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager.

Assess variation and claims and provide cost change management. Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, responsible for leading the compilation of the monthly progress claim. Be the link between the Project team and the Commercial team in Perth.

Process month end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers. Work closely with Accounts Payable and Contracts teams to ensure invoices are paid on time, are within agree contractual limitations and cost allocation is correct. Know and understand the financial delegation process and determine which financial delegates must authorise which purchase orders and invoices.

Help ensure invoices are approved and returned to AP within a timely manner for process before the end of month financial process; and follow up with internal clients if required. ABOUT YOU:Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in project accounting and cost control. Preferable on-site construction experience

Strong English language skills required - written and oral.Ability to adapt to different situations and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
