Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, staff performance, and profitability. The role involves managing staff, controlling costs, maintaining health and safety standards, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment

Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Build strong relationships with customers and respond to feedback
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere

Financial Management

  • Control costs related to labor, food, and supplies
  • Monitor sales, budgets, and profit margins
  • Manage cash handling, deposits, and inventory
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and operational efficiency

Inventory & Supplies

  • Order food, beverages, and supplies as needed
  • Monitor stock levels and minimize waste
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors

Marketing & Business Development

  • Support promotional activities and special events
  • Implement strategies to increase sales and customer loyalty
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
  • Financial management and budgeting skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
  • 2–5 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience
