Front Office Associate

Duties and responsibilities of Front Office Associate
- Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay
- Determines a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay
- Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures
- Work closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work
- Must be sales minded, presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices
- Follow up and follow through guests' concerns to concerned departments
- Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the management through supervisor
- Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, rising paid out's
- Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
- Assists in training new colleagues in performing job duties based on company standards and policies/procedures
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, or any related field is preferred.
- Hands on experience with office machines (for example fax, printer etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
