Central Supply Aide – Linen, Laundry, and Sewing

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Central Supply Aide – Linen, Laundry, and Sewing at Skyline Hospital and Medical Center, located in Bulacan. The Central Supply Aide is responsible for handling hospital linens and fabric items, including scrubs used by doctors and nurses, bed linens from wards, and other textile supplies used across departments. This role involves sorting, laundering, mending, filing, and distributing clean items to ensure hygiene, availability, and compliance with hospital standards.

Qualifications

-High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in laundry services or sewing is a plus.

-Experience in hospital or hotel laundry operations is preferred.

-Basic sewing and garment repair skills.

-Physically fit; able to lift heavy laundry loads and work on your feet for extended periods.

-Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.

-Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and hospital protocols.

-Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Duties and Responsibility

1. Sewing Area

- Cut and Sew Linens, patient gowns, other fabric items as required.

- Alter and repair linens, gowns, and doctors scrub suits to meet operational standards.

-Ensure proper labeling and sizing of garments.

-Maintain cleanliness and order in the sewing workspace.

-Monitor fabric inventory and report shortages.

  1. Laundry Area

    -Received and sort soiled linens and patient gowns prior to pick up by outsource laundry services.

    -Operate washing, drying, and ironing equipment in accordance with safety and hygiene protocols.

    -Fold and prepare cleaned linens for distribution to the respective departments.

    -Perform stain removal and spot treatment as necessary.

    -Inspect laundry items for damage and report to the supervisor for repair recommendation.

    -Ensure proper use of detergents and machinery.

  2. General Responsibility

    -Adhere to infection control and safety procedures in handling soiled and clean linen.

    -Maintain records of laundry loads, repairs, and usage.

    -Assist in inventory management of linen stock and supplies.

    -Support time delivery and collective of linen to and from designated areas.

    -Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.

    -Uphold cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in all work areas.

    -Perform other duty that is needed.
