Job Overview

The Junior QA Analyst is responsible for supporting the quality assurance process by executing test cases, identifying defects, and assisting in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role works closely with business users, developers, and project teams to validate that system enhancements meet business requirements and function as expected. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of software testing practices, strong attention to detail, and experience participating in UAT activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Quality Assurance

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on functional and business requirements.
  • Perform manual testing to identify defects, log issues, and support defect resolution activities.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating test execution with end-users, tracking results, and ensuring business sign-off.

UAT Coordination

  • Support business users during UAT cycles by clarifying test requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Document test findings, track issues, and escalate critical defects to the project team.
  • Participate in UAT planning meetings and provide status updates on testing progress.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test results, defects, and resolutions.
  • Assist in preparing test reports and providing feedback to improve overall quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of testing guidelines, checklists, and best practices.

Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business analysts to ensure requirements are understood and properly tested.
  • Support regression testing and system validation during enhancements or bug fixes.
  • Assist in delivering training or walkthroughs to users participating in UAT.

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or related role.
  • Hands-on experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) is required.
  • Exposure to test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps) is an advantage.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test execution workflows.
