JOB TITLE: Social Media Specialist for News

REPORTING TO: Jose Nino D. Nicolas III, Head of Digital Services

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Social Media Specialist for News is responsible for the execution and development of social media strategies. They create engaging content, optimize company pages, and foster community interaction. With expertise in social media marketing and analytics, they drive customer engagement, website traffic, and revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analysis of user behavior on social media

  2. Help formulate social media strategies

  3. Look out for trends and innovations on social media engagement

  4. Execute social media strategies

  5. Produce and share social media executions based on BusinessWorld content

  6. Familiarize him/herself to emerging technologies such as A.I. to further enhance social media strategies and engagement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Degree in Communications, Multimedia, Journalism, or Marketing

  2. 2 years experience working for a news organization is preferred

  3. 2 years experience managing and populating social media and online platforms preferred

  4. 2 years experience in news and/or copy writing preferred

  5. Basic knowledge of content creation and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft Office, and the likes.
