About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Business Development Representative (SDR) to join our social media marketing agency and play a key role in initiating sales conversations. You'll be responsible for reaching out to leads, building rapport, and preparing them for a productive consultation with our sales team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a strategic approach to outreach, and experience engaging prospects especially within the marketing or digital services space.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively reach out to leads via phone to introduce our agency and its services
- Build rapport and establish trust with prospects to ensure a seamless handoff to the sales closers
- Clearly articulate the value of our social media marketing solutions and how they solve client pain points
- Handle initial objections or inquiries with confidence and guide prospects through the next steps
- Schedule and confirm discovery meetings for the sales team
- Accurately log all interactions and updates in the CRM or lead tracking system
- Provide qualitative feedback on lead engagement and offer suggestions to improve outreach strategies or scripts
- Proven experience as an SDR, telemarketer, or inside sales representative, preferably in digital marketing or social media industries
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a confident, engaging, and persuasive tone
- Ability to quickly grasp our service offerings and align them with client needs
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar platforms)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple leads across different stages
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to ongoing campaign improvements
