Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & Business Permits
- Manage preparation, submission, and renewal of permits, licenses, and registrations with LGUs and national agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain updated database of permits and renewal deadlines.
Contract Review & Management
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure contracts comply with laws and company policies.
- Maintain a contract tracking and monitoring system.
Corporate Registration & Governance
- Handle corporate registration and SEC compliance (incorporation, amendments, reporting, annual filings).
- Support corporate governance (board resolutions, secretary's certificates).
Intellectual Property (IP) Management
- Manage patent filings and trademark registrations with the IPO.
- Monitor deadlines, renewals, and compliance for IP protection.
- Maintain organized IP documentation.
Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and mentor legal assistants/paralegals.
- Conduct training and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other departments for legal support.
Advisory & Risk Management
- Provide legal advice on compliance, regulatory, and contractual matters.
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Coordinate with external counsels when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.); licensed lawyer with IBP.
- 3–5 years' experience in corporate legal practice, compliance, or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, labor, contract, and IP law.
- Experience with SEC, LGU permits, and IPO processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
