Stratton Studios is hiring a Unity Game Developer with proven Oculus experience to join our cross-functional game development team. You'll help build and maintain engaging, performant game experiences across a variety of projects, working on everything from gameplay systems to platform-specific features.

We're looking for someone who's comfortable jumping into a Unity codebase, understands the nuances of VR development, and enjoys solving gameplay and content delivery challenges across different devices.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain gameplay features, systems, and tools in Unity using C#
  • Implement and optimize Oculus-specific features including input, tracking, and headset integration
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and technical teammates to deliver polished game features
  • Debug issues across multiple devices and platforms, especially in VR contexts
  • Support the development of content pipelines, UI flows, and platform features
  • Contribute to discussions around technical decisions, scope, and project priorities
  • Write clean, well-documented code that supports iteration and scalability

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Unity and C# development experience on real-world game projects
  • Hands-on experience with Oculus headsets and Unity-based VR development
  • Understanding of VR-specific design, performance, and interaction best practices
  • Comfortable working across disciplines and adapting to shifting game needs
  • Ability to work independently in remote teams while communicating clearly and constructively
  • Practical mindset with a focus on delivering features that players feel and enjoy

Bonus Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit or Oculus SDKs
  • Familiarity with multi-platform development for mobile, desktop, or console
  • Understanding of performance profiling and memory optimization for VR games
  • Prior involvement in co-development or client-facing production pipelines
  • Interest in prototyping, procedural content, or rapid iteration workflows
