Billing Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and send out invoices for insurance premiums and related fees.
  • Process payments and update customer accounts accordingly.
  • Review billing statements to ensure accuracy and correct any discrepancies.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns about billing in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Maintain detailed and organized billing records and documentation.
  • Assist with billing reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
  • Follow company policies and regulatory requirements related to billing and payments.
  • Support process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of any Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or customer service, ideally within insurance or finance.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use billing software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle billing discrepancies professionally.
