Our client, Cake Freight Inc, is a fully remote logistics company focused on precision, partnership, and high-performance execution. They support freight forwarders and shippers across the U.S. with fast, reliable, and clear communication and coordination. As they scale, they're looking for a proactive Logistics Specialist to join their operations team in the Philippines.

About the Role
As a Logistics Specialist, you'll ensure that freight moves smoothly from pickup to delivery. This includes shipment tracking, coordinating with carriers, updating customers, and supporting the broader operations team with tasks and communication. The role requires sharp attention to detail, excellent written communication, and comfort working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Freight Coordination

  • Monitor and update shipment statuses via TMS (Turvo)

  • Maintain accurate shipment details across internal tools

  • Coordinate pickup, delivery, and updates with carriers

  • Flag untouched loads and delays for escalation

Client Communication

  • Send milestone-based updates to clients using pre-set templates

  • Respond to customer requests via email professionally and clearly

  • Follow SOPs and client-specific cheat sheets for consistency

Internal Operations Support

  • Assist with EOD reporting and operational scorecards

  • Maintain logs and documentation via Slack, Google Sheets, and CRM

  • Support the U.S.-based ops team with ad-hoc operational tasks

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in freight forwarding, dispatch, or logistics

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Proficient with tools like Google Sheets, Slack, Canva, and TMS platforms

  • Exceptionally organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented

  • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace

  • Able to work fixed hours during U.S. Eastern Time
