Job Description

As a Draft Technician, you'll create detailed and accurate floor plans, 3D models, and architectural packages for global clients. You'll ensure quality and compliance while collaborating with experts in architecture, engineering, and design-all within an environment that values precision and growth.

Your Daily Tasks

• Create iGUIDE Floor Plans using Planitar's proprietary software for residential, commercial, and insurance restoration clients
• Create ESX Floor Plan Sketches using Verisk's Xactimate software for insurance restoration claims
• Create DWG Floor Plans and RVT Models using Autodesk's Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering projects
• Build 3D Isometric Models for interior design and virtual staging clients
• Prepare full architectural floor plan packages in Revit
• Ensure quality assurance in all drafting outputs, maintaining compliance with standards and client expectations
• Report issues that arise during production to the iGUIDE Drafting Shift Leader
• Participate in cross-functional, continuous improvement initiatives
• Complete other tasks such as AI annotations, market research, and case studies as needed
• Consistently achieve KPI targets for drafting accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency

The Qualifications We Seek

Education:

• Obtained or currently working toward a degree or diploma in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent

Experience:

• 1+ years of CAD drafting experience
• 1+ years of BIM modeling experience

Skills:

• CAD Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Autodesk's Revit and Verisk's Xactimate
• Drafting and Preparation: Ability to develop and prepare detailed floor plan drawings with precision
• Quality Assurance: Skilled in performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering and architectural principles relevant to drafting
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for accuracy and high-quality output
• Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities for drafting or software-related issues
• Organizational Skills: Excellent task and workflow management capabilities
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work with different CAD software and project types
