Salary Budget: Php 100,000.00 – 140,000.00 gross salary package

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER

Qualifications as a Senior Backend Developer:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless technologies.
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and distributed architectures.
• Skilled in backend design patterns and best practices.
• Able to document and communicate software architecture clearly.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ownership mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Backend Developer would be:

• Architect and develop scalable backend systems and microservices using and TypeScript.
• Build serverless and event-driven applications leveraging AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3).
• Design and integrate backend services for IoT and payment system use cases.
• Write clean, well-documented, and tested code.
• Optimize and maintain existing codebases and proactively resolve bugs.
• Produce robust technical documentation to support long-term scalability.
• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional development team.
• Lead improvements in development processes and backend infrastructure.
• Follow and enforce backend best practices and secure development standards.
