Back-End Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong Python skills to design, implement, and maintain the core backend infrastructure for our AI-driven applications. You will be responsible for developing APIs, managing integrations with LLMs, and ensuring smooth data flow between the frontend and backend systems.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in production-grade backend systems, preferably with web frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, and is comfortable working in environments where reliability, scalability, and performance are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks).
• Develop and optimize RESTful or GraphQL APIs for communication with frontend and AI models.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) and other AI services via internal or external APIs.
• Implement real-time communication mechanisms (WebSockets, SSE, etc.) for chat-based systems.
• Design and manage data pipelines, caching layers, and asynchronous task queues (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with frontend and AI teams to align data structures, endpoints, and workflows.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with clear version control practices.
• Participate in performance tuning, debugging, and incident response in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x.
• Proven experience with FastAPI, Flask, or other modern Python web frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience integrating with AI APIs, vector databases, or LLM orchestration layers.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong focus on security, testing, and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with chat-based systems, streaming APIs, or real-time backends.
• Familiarity with async Python, Celery, and background job processing.
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, ELK Stack).
• Understanding of load balancing, caching strategies, and API gateways.
• Exposure to LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, or other AI-related frameworks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend software development.
• Proven record of deploying and maintaining production systems.
