Job Summary

We are looking for a Civil–Structural Engineer who will handle the design, analysis, and integrity of structures for substation and transmission line projects. The role includes preparing structural plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with internal teams and clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesSubstation Projects

  • Design foundations for heavy electrical equipment (transformers, breakers, gantries, etc.)
  • Create steel structure and support frame designs compliant with ASCE/NSCP standards
  • Prepare structural plans for buildings, switchgear shelters, and other site facilities
  • Design cable trenches, pits, and support systems ensuring proper clearances
  • Prepare spill containment designs for oil-filled equipment

Transmission Line Projects

  • Design and analyze transmission towers for wind, seismic, ice, and environmental loads
  • Prepare tower spotting, plan/profile drawings, and route layout
  • Perform sag and tension calculations for conductors and wires
  • Design tower foundations and anchorage systems based on geotechnical reports
  • Recommend appropriate materials for towers and structural components

Internal & External Coordination

Internal: All Head Office and Site employees

External: Clients and authorized representatives at the project site

QualificationsEducational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer

Experience Level

Mid-Level (3 to 7 years)

  • Solid foundation in structural design and analysis
  • Increasing responsibility in handling specialized structural work
  • Experience managing small-scale structural projects (timelines, budgets, coordination)
  • Ability to perform advanced calculations, structural analysis, and prepare detailed plans
  • Exposure to specialized fields (precast, towers, buildings, bridges, etc.)
  • Preferably experienced with structural software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, etc.)

Training

  • Trainings related to structural engineering and design

License

  • PRC Civil Engineer License Required
