Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Structural Designer with advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in structural steel design and detailing. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings, steel layouts, and connection details using CAD and BIM software. You will work closely with structural engineers, fabricators, and project teams to develop efficient and buildable steel structures for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed structural steel drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar software.
  • Interpret and implement engineering sketches, calculations, and specifications into clear construction drawings.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers to ensure that designs meet all technical and safety requirements.
  • Assist in the design of steel members and connections using applicable standards.
  • Review and incorporate markups, revisions, and redlines from engineers and project leads.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, and fabricators to resolve conflicts and ensure constructability.
  • Support preparation of bill of materials (BOM), steel take-offs, and fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client CAD/BIM standards.
  • Maintain organized documentation and revision control for all drawing packages.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in structural design/drafting, with a strong focus on steel structures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D/BIM platform such as Tekla Structures, Revit, or Advance Steel.
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication, welding symbols, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and modeling.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in industrial steel structures, pre-engineered buildings, or modular steel systems.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud collaboration tools.
  • Ability to perform clash detection and coordination in a 3D BIM environment.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with possible visits to fabrication shops or construction sites.
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple ongoing projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php28, Php35,000.00 per month
