About the Role:

We are seeking a Solar Structural Engineer to ensure the structural safety and reliability of solar PV installations. You will design, review, and oversee mounting systems and foundations for rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating solar projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rooftop structural analysis, including load-bearing calculations, reinforcement requirements, and detailed mounting system design.
  • Design foundations for ground-mounted or floating (pond) PV systems, considering wind loads, soil conditions, and water levels.
  • Review and finalize structural shop drawings with complete calculations.
  • Ensure installation plans comply with building codes and local safety standards.
  • Provide on-site support, offering structural clarifications or adjustments during installation.
  • Participate in the structural portion of final acceptance and project handover.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and site supervisors to coordinate installation planning and ensure the structural integrity of mounting and anchoring systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years experience in structural design for solar PV or related civil/structural projects.
  • Strong knowledge of load calculations, reinforcement design, and foundation engineering.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent structural design software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
