The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for helping people and excellent communication skills? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Customer Service Representative to join our essential operations team in San Juan City. Spanish fluency is a valued bonus, but not a requirement for this role.
In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will be the primary point of contact for patients and clients, ensuring smooth communication, managing critical appointments, and resolving requests efficiently. We value problem-solvers who can manage detailed records while providing exceptional service.
We welcome candidates with prior customer service experience. New college graduates with coursework or familiarity with medical terminology are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
As a crucial member of our team, you will focus on high-quality patient interaction and operational support:
- Professional Communication: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, communicating fluently and professionally in English.
- Inquiry Resolution: Answer customer inquiries, provide accurate information about services, and troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with confidence.
- Appointment Management: Efficiently manage patient and client requests related to scheduling, adjustments, and general service coordination.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Maintain meticulous records by accurately documenting all customer interactions, transactions, and outcomes in the system.
- Performance: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team metrics, including targets for Quality Assurance (QA), call handling time, and customer satisfaction.
- Adaptability: Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate team leads and adapt quickly to changing priorities and new challenges within a dynamic setting.
What You'll Need to Succeed: Required Skills & Experience
- Language Fluency: Must be fully fluent in English (written and verbal communication required). Spanish fluency is a highly valued bonus.
- Customer Service: Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a high-volume call center environment is preferred, though exceptional entry-level candidates will be considered.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work a full-time, mandatory night shift schedule.
- Work Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our on-site facility in San Juan City prior to the start date (this is an on-site only position).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute (WPM).
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, a strong attention to detail, and proven capacity to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education & Knowledge
- Minimum of 1 year of completed study in a medical course or equivalent work experience (required).
- Prior knowledge of healthcare or medical terminology is helpful.
- Previous clerical or administrative experience is a plus.
