What is the job?

The Team Leader is responsible for managing the company's end-to-end general ledger processes, including leading the month-end close, maintaining accurate and well-controlled balance sheet reconciliations, and providing accounting guidance to the Finance team. This role manages relationships with external accounting partners, oversees the implementation of technical accounting standards into the general ledger, and ensures compliance with US GAAP for audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Month‑End Close & Controls – Drive continuous improvement of close processes using automation and advanced tools to boost efficiency and control.
  • Lead & Mentor – Act as the go‑to resource for operational accounting; guide junior team members and champion ongoing process enhancements.
  • Ensure Ledger Integrity – Maintain comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and translate complex accounting entries into an accurate general ledger.
  • Oversee Regulatory Reporting – Lead preparation of statutory accounts, audits, and R&D tax credit submissions, while ensuring journal entries comply with US GAAP.
  • Guide AP/AR Teams – Provide oversight and training for Accounts Payable and Receivable analysts to improve coding accuracy and accounting rigor.
  • Support FP&A Integration – Collaborate with FP&A to post and track non‑GAAP adjustments and deliver bridge reports that connect management and statutory financials.

Qualifications:

  • CPA-qualified with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience, ideally reflecting a stable employment history and including both public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and SaaS/corporate environments
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring or managing accounting staff
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, including familiarity with recent updates and implementing related process improvements
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a consistent drive for process optimization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders
