Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with editors, reporters, and photographers to ensure timely posting of breaking news and features.
  • Monitor social media trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to maximize reach and relevance.
  • Engage with readers through comments, messages, and shares in a professional manner.
  • Analyze insights and performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement) and prepare regular reports.
  • Support online campaigns, promotions, and events initiated by the newspaper company.
  • Ensure adherence to company editorial standards, brand voice, and ethical journalism guidelines.
  • Assist in crisis communication and online reputation management when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Multimedia Arts, or related field.
  • Experience in managing professional social media accounts (preferably in media or publishing).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills in English and Filipino.
  • Proficiency in social media tools, scheduling platforms, and analytics (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Adobe Premiere) are an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breaking news.
  • Creative, resourceful, and updated on current news, pop culture, and digital trends.
