Your Role
As a Human Resources, you are responsible for:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks.
- Work closely with Service Delivery Managers to identify workforce needs.
- Prepare employment contracts, position descriptions, and onboarding packs.
- Conduct staff orientation aligned with Sahara's mission and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
2. Compliance & Records
- Ensure all employee documentation is up to date, including:
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Working With Children Checks
- Police Checks
- First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling certificates
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and audit-ready personnel files.
- Support compliance with SCHADS Award and Fair Work obligations.
3. Performance & Supervision
- Coordinate and support regular staff supervision and performance reviews.
- Assist with the development of performance improvement plans and conduct exit interviews.
- Maintain a feedback loop between frontline staff, supervisors, and management.
4. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and create staff development plans.
- Coordinate mandatory training (NDIS orientation, medication administration, infection control, etc.).
- Promote continuous learning and upskilling aligned with participant needs.
5. Culture & Engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
- Coordinate staff recognition, wellness initiatives, and engagement activities.
- Be a point of contact for conflict resolution, grievances, and staff wellbeing.
6. HR Strategy & Systems
- Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures.
- Support digital transformation in HR processes (e.g., onboarding automation, rostering systems).
- Contribute to workforce planning, succession, and retention strategies.

- Knowledge of NDIS workforce requirements and compliance

Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar
- At least 2 years HR experience in community services or NDIS is desirable
- Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and Fair Work legislation
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office/ Employment hero
- Staff wellbeing and retention programs
- HR metrics and dashboards (e.g., turnover, training compliance, leave usage)
- A strong induction and supervision framework
- Proactive compliance (always audit-ready)
- Cultural safety and trauma-informed HR practices
- HR support for SIL, Community Programs, and Admin teams
