Occupational Health & Safety

  • Implement and monitor compliance with safety and health programs, policies, and standards in accordance with DOLE requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses; recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety orientations and toolbox meetings for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment have updated DOLE permits to operate.

Environmental Compliance (PCO Functions)

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations set by the DENR and other government agencies.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain required environmental reports.
  • Oversee proper waste segregation, storage, and disposal in coordination with accredited haulers.
  • Ensure operation and monitoring of pollution control facilities (e.g., air, water, and solid waste management).
  • Coordinate with DENR for permit renewals, inspections, and compliance documentation.

Regulatory Permits & Documentation

  • Process and renew legal permits from DENR (e.g., Discharge Permit, Permit to Operate Air Pollution Source, Hazardous Waste Registration).
  • Process and renew DOLE permits for machines, boilers, pressure vessels, and other regulated equipment.
  • Maintain and update all HSE and environmental records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Accredited Safety Officer (SO2 or higher) by DOLE.
  • Accredited or trained Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by DENR.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in safety and environmental compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in DENR and DOLE permitting processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
