ROLE OVERVIEW

The Geodetic Engineer will be assigned to the Construction Delivery Division under the Office of the Undersecretary for Railways and is responsible for the following:

  • Supports senior technical specialists in the daily site monitoring and safety management, evaluation of General Consultant activities, reporting on progress of deliverables and updating on important issues/concerns/variations on site;
  • Supports technical specialists in providing technical input and supports in reviewing detailed designs;
  • Ensures that project components are according to plan and standards (on-time, on-specs, on-budget, on-benefit, on-safeguard, on-quality and on-safety);
  • Resolves issues aligned with Risk Management protocols;
  • Coordinates, collaborates and interfaces with other PMO units, DOTr, general consultant, third party contractors, LGUs and other stakeholders through proactive, timely communication, meetings/discussions and written correspondence in order to build and maintain smooth relationships and synergy between and amongst stakeholders; and
  • Supports in the technical mapping and data processing tasks such as updating and maintaining the accuracy of the project's geographical information system and databases;
  • Supports in generating land and property maps and records for the use of right of way acquisition and site clearing.
  • Prepares Property documentation related to transfer of ownership of acquired lands
  • Ensures all geographical surveys and plans are conducted in accordance with environmental standards and safeguards.
  • Performs such other related tasks or functions as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geodetic Engineering
  • Must be a licensed Geodetic Engineer
  • No experience required
