Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, reporting, coordinating, and supervising engineering projects from start to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, timelines, budgets, and manpower schedules.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
  • Support the Project Manager and management team in resource allocation and project decision-making.

2. Technical Oversight & Implementation

  • Provide technical input and guidance during design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify work progress and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Identify potential technical issues and recommend corrective actions.

3. Quality Assurance & Project Inspection

  • Implement and monitor the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure that materials, workmanship, and processes comply with company and client quality standards.
  • Prepare inspection reports and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Verify that testing, installation, and commissioning activities are properly documented and meet quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during all phases of the project.

4. Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project progress against set milestones, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, technical documentation, and compliance records.
  • Maintain accurate and updated project files, permits, and certifications.

5. Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, management, and project teams.
  • Conduct coordination and progress meetings to review project status and address challenges.
  • Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals.

6. Safety and Compliance

  • Promote and enforce occupational health and safety standards at all project sites.
  • Ensure that all work complies with local regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in project supervision, engineering, or construction.

  • Experience in QA/QC inspection or site supervision is an advantage.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or equivalent project management tools.

  • Strong understanding of engineering design, quality assurance principles, and inspection procedures.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  • Other Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license and be capable of field mobility as required.
