Project Overview

The Digital Transformation Team is launching a pilot program to streamline the recruitment, onboarding, and training of KCC Mall Of Cotabato Supermarket Cashiers. This program aims to ensure quality over quantity in hiring, create tailored training modules, and establish a standardized onboarding process aligned to end-to-end cashier operations.

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead this initiative. You will act as the central connector across multiple teams, design the overall cashier workflow, identify operational gaps, and work with the Training/Lab Team to craft effective modules that directly respond to business needs. This is a contract-based role under DTT, with a high-impact scope that will set the standard for cashier operations across malls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Act as the central point of contact across Strategy, Training/Lab, and Creatives Teams.
  • Drive alignment among SMEs, consultants, and stakeholders across malls.
  • Manage timelines and milestones to ensure pilot launch at KCO Supermarket by Q1 2026.

2. Workflow & Process Mapping

  • Map out the end-to-end responsibilities of cashiers, from recruitment through checkout and escalation.
  • Identify systems in use (POS, swiper, conveyor, etc.) and dependencies across different stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Document current practices across malls and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization.

3. Training & Development Integration

  • Translate mapped workflows and identified gaps into actionable inputs for the Training/Lab Team.
  • Partner with trainers and ex-cashiers to create activity-based training modules aligned with real cashier operations.
  • Ensure training materials (simplified and branded by Creatives) reflect business processes and operational standards.

4. Recruitment & Onboarding Alignment

  • Collaborate with the People Group (Recruitment & Onboarding) to define qualifications and applicant assessments.
  • Ensure onboarding processes are aligned with the newly designed cashier workflow.
  • Support retention and readiness of newly hired cashiers.

5. Pilot Execution & Scaling

  • Oversee the pilot implementation at KCO Supermarket.
  • Monitor performance, gather feedback, and document lessons learned.
  • Prepare recommendations for rollout across multiple malls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Project Management, Human Resource, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience (preferably in retail, supermarkets, or fast-food operations).
  • Strong knowledge of business process mapping, stakeholder management, and workflow design.
  • Familiarity with cashier operations, POS systems, and customer service processes.
  • Experience in training program design or HR projects is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in using Miro, Visio, and other similar apps to map-out workflow designs.
