Job Summary

The CAD Operator plays a key role in the Architectural design process by creating detailed drawings and plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

Will work closely with Architects, Engineers, and other team members in translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings and documentation for construction and regulatory approval.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Revised and modified existing drawings, prepare shop drawings, and construct three-dimensional models using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Create and update standard Architectural documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Develop detailed Architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit software based on client specifications.
  • Adhere to Architectural standards set for the projects including meeting client project deadlines using approved software, following Architectural codes, and using only approved materials.
  • Perform calculations and dimensioning, considering building materials, structural elements, and installation requirements.
  • Make revisions to detailed Architectural drawings, model drawings, and site plans, including adding, deleting, or modifying details.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or architecture
  • Proficient in CAD software, knowledge of Autodesk Revit is an advantage
  • With similar experience in the same capacity.
  • Experience in working on Interior Fit-Out projects at a Construction setup is a plus factor.
  • Ability to draw and understand technical drawings, shop drawings, and detailing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to visualize spatial relationships accurately.
  • Strong understanding of drafting techniques and design standards.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
