Position Overview

OESP Inc. is looking for an Assistant Teacher Manager that will support the daily operations of a 60-teachers English call center. The role is responsible for monitoring teacher attendance, managing real-time scheduling issues, assigning substitute teachers, and maintaining immediate communication with Korea HQ. The Assistant Teacher Manager will also handle quality control by reviewing feedback and complaints from Korean customers.

In addition, the Assistant Teacher Manager must be able to teach classes as a substitute teacher whenever a teacher is absent, late, or when an emergency assignment is required. This role requires strong organization, communication skills, and the ability to react quickly to operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Attendance Monitoring

 Check and record daily attendance for all 60 teachers.

 Identify tardiness, absences, and irregularities immediately.

 Submit accurate attendance reports in real time.

2. Teacher Scheduling & TMS Management

 Monitor and understand teacher schedules using the TMS system.

 Track adjustments, class assignments, and teacher availability.

 Work closely with Teacher Managers to keep schedules updated.

3. Substitute Teacher Coordination

 Assign substitute teachers promptly when a teacher is absent or late.

 Ensure assignment details are logged accurately.

 Minimize class disruptions through timely substitute placement.

4. Real-Time Communication With Korea HQ

 Provide live updates on attendance issues, schedule changes, and substitute

assignments.

 Maintain fast and clear communication channels with Korea HQ.

 Respond immediately to urgent requests or escalations.

5. Teacher Quality Control

 Review customer feedback, complaints, and performance comments from Korean

students and parents.

 Maintain performance logs and escalate concerns to Teacher Managers.

 Support improvement plans, retraining, or corrective actions as needed.

6. Substitute Teaching Duties

 Teach classes as a substitute teacher when a scheduled teacher is absent, unavailable,

or late.

 Follow class guidelines, scripts, and curriculum standards.

 Ensure continuity of student learning and maintain a high level of professionalism.

7. Administrative & Operational Support

 Prepare daily attendance, substitution, and quality reports.

 Assist Teacher Managers with documentation, performance monitoring, and

operational tasks.

 Support smooth daily operations in the teaching department.

Qualifications:

  • With Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years Management/Leadership Skill (BPO or ESL Setting).

  • Has excellent written and speaking English Skill.

  • Speaks and Understands Korean.

  • Can also teach English to Foreign Students (ESL).
