SpEd Teachers

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess students' abilities and needs through observations, interviews, and testing.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other professionals.
• Adapt general education lessons and promote inclusive education.
• Deliver specialized instruction to students with various disabilities, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, behavioral disorders, and developmental delays.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure effective inclusion.
• Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, supportive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and IEP documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
• Stay updated on best practices and new developments in special education.
