Role Overview
The Recruiting Lead, Training & Development is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading an offshore recruitment team supporting US-based hiring, while also owning the training, onboarding, and ongoing development of new hire employees across the recruitment function.
This internal role acts as a player-coach, balancing direct recruiting leadership with cross-team training and enablement responsibilities, ensuring consistent quality, performance, and adherence to US recruitment standards.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting Team Leadership
- Lead and support an offshore recruitment team delivering full-cycle recruitment for US-based roles
- Set priorities, manage workloads, and ensure hiring targets and service-level expectations are met
- Coach and mentor recruiters through regular feedback, performance reviews, and skills development
- Provide hands-on support with sourcing, screening, and stakeholder communication as needed
- Serve as a point of escalation for recruiting challenges and complex roles
Training & Development
- Own the onboarding and training program for new hire recruiters and recruitment support staff
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve training materials and learning sessions covering:
- US recruitment processes and best practices
- Interviewing, screening, and candidate evaluation standards
- ATS, recruiting tools, and reporting
- Compliance, documentation, and candidate experience expectations
- Deliver ongoing refresher training, upskilling sessions, and performance-based coaching across teams
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted resource for recruiting-related training needs
Quality, Process & Enablement
- Ensure consistency and quality of recruiting practices across offshore teams
- Standardize recruiting workflows, documentation, and training resources
- Identify skill gaps and process improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions
- Support change initiatives related to new tools, roles, or hiring strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in recruitment supporting US-based hiring, preferably from an offshore environment
- Previous experience in a senior recruiter or team lead capacity
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and US hiring standards
- Demonstrated experience delivering training, onboarding, or mentoring programs
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Comfortable working across time zones and in a fast-paced environment
