JOB SUMMARY

The position is responsible for sourcing, canvassing, the review and evaluation of all requisitions of heavy equipment materials or services, taking responsibility in obtaining reliable vendors to ensure competitive price, quality of product, and timely delivery of goods and services that meet the expectations of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

COMMERCIAL EVALUATION

  • Review Purchase Requisitions of all heavy equipment and validates alignment with the approved budget
  • Do market research and vendor filtering / evaluation according to vendor specification and financial ability to supply
  • Prepares Request for Quotations (RFQ) or invitation to bid and send to selected vendors
  • Negotiate purchase prize, terms and conditions
  • Canvass preparation

PURCHASE ORDER (PO) & SUPPLY AGREEMENT MANAGEMENT

  • Prepare and Issue Purchase Order (PO) or Work Order (WO) & SA specifications
  • Check accuracy, validity, and completeness of PO and supply agreement specifications.
  • Monitor the completeness and accuracy and quality if purchased items.
  • Closely monitor outstanding payables to Subcon/suppliers and ask confirmation from the concerned unit for noted discrepancies.
  • Resolves purchasing and logistics conflicts/problems between vendor and end-user

CONTRACT AGREEMENT

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the scope and contents of the whole subcontracted works, and provide inputs and outputs to parties of the subcontract agreement, both internal and external.
  • Effectively discuss methods statement with subcontractor and site personnel.
  • Liaises with other departments in relation to claims and disputes

VENDOR MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
  • Meet with suitable vendors to assess their products, services, and negotiate pricing
  • Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality
  • Liaises with vendors in relation to claims against warranties and other contractual remedies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Petroleum, Civil, and similar allied courses are preferred;
  • At least 2-3 years of work-related experience in a Mining, Construction, or Heavy Equipment Trucking Industries;
  • Good communication and negotiation skills;
  • Licensed Customs Broker is preferred but not required;
  • Willing to Travel to other sites; and
  • Willing to work on-site at Makati City
