SEO and Web Developer

Job Description:

Technical SEO:

· Conduct comprehensive SEO audits and implement fixes at the code level.

· Set up and optimise redirects, canonical tags, structured data, , and

· Manage internal linking, header structure, page load speed, and mobile responsiveness.

· Resolve indexation, crawl errors, and performance bottlenecks using tools like Screaming Frog, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush.

· Work closely with SEO specialists to implement on-site SEO recommendations with clean, error-free execution.

· Stay up to date with algorithm changes, SEO trends, and technical best practices.

Website Development & Fixes:

· Support and fix client websites across WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, WooCommerce.

· Troubleshoot and resolve theme, plugin, JavaScript, and PHP issues.

· Assist with page styling, code conflict resolution, plugin setup and integration testing.

· Maintain site performance, security, and clean coding standards.

· Implement Conversion Rate Optimisation website updates.

· Set up and manage backups, staging environments, and rollback options.

· Assist team members when tasks go beyond their skill level.

Google Tag Manager, Analytics, and Tracking Setup (Within SEO/Dev):

· Set up GTM containers from scratch with organised tagging structures.

· Track custom events: form submissions, call clicks, email links, add-to-carts, purchases, scrolls.

· Connect and verify tracking across Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, and other platforms.

· Configure GA4 event-based tracking, ecommerce setup, and audience segmentation.

· Regularly test data flow to ensure marketing metrics are accurate and reflective of performance.

· Troubleshoot discrepancies and support performance teams.

AI + Data & Automation Confidence:

· Use tools like ChatGPT, SurferSEO, Jasper, Zapier, and Sheet Automations to improve workflows.

· Assist in automating reporting tasks and site monitoring.

· Use AI to help generate SEO ideas, internal processes, or to speed up repetitive tasks.

Digital Marketing and Admin Support:

· Collaborate with paid ads team on pixel tracking, attribution, and audience targeting

· Understand how SEO interacts with conversion rate optimisation, landing pages, and paid search

· Assist in solving data discrepancies between ads platforms and analytics

· Other administrative and digital marketing duties as required to support full-time capacity.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and trends, incorporating innovative ideas into client strategies.

Workflow & Team Collaboration:

· Work in Asana for daily task management.

· Collaborate using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).

· Attend team check-ins via Zoom and communicate progress clearly in Asana and Zoom Team Chat.

· Manage or participate in multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications:

SEO & Analytics:

· Experience creating SEO reports, audit docs, keyword analysis sheets, and data-driven insights.

· Expert-level use of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console.

· Proficiency in SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and PageSpeed Insights.

· Deep knowledge of SEO (technical, on-page, and site architecture).

· Strong understanding of schema markup, structured data, and tracking setups.

Development & Web Platforms:

· Highly proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working knowledge of PHP.

· Familiarity with basic DNS, CDN, and SSL management.

· Familiarity with tracking platforms: GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, CAPI, Hotjar.

· Strong understanding of responsive design and web standards.

· Comfortable managing and fixing issues in WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix.

· Ability to deploy website updates, test on staging, and push live with minimal downtime.

Data Reporting & Communication:

· Problem-solver: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

· Ability to build and manage spreadsheets, dashboards, and performance reports.

· Ability to differentiate between a vanity metric and a meaningful insight.

· Fast-Paced Operator: Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
