Role Overview:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to drive the quality of our fintech solutions through hands-on testing and automation. This role involves designing and executing manual and automated test cases across UIs and backend APIs, ensuring system reliability and performance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to validate business logic, debug issues, and uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. Ideal candidates have experience in UI automation (Playwright preferred), API testing, and agile environments, with a strong foundation in fintech or banking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for UIs & backend APIs.
  • Conduct end-to-end functional, integration, performance and regression testing for backend services.
  • Validate business logic across complex workflows in a UI architecture.
  • Analyze logs, monitor service behavior, and help debug sandbox & production issues.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and BA teams to ensure quality from the ground up.
  • Participate in sprint planning and contribute to agile testing practices (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in Software Testing, preferably in the Fintech or Banking domain.
  • Strong knowledge of UI Testing tools and Frameworks;
  • Good grasp of UI test automation frameworks experience mandatory; experience/exposure to Selenium, Appium, Node JS, WebdriverIO or similar acceptable)
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and basic scripting (JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms/cloud native platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred, AWS/GCP PaaS (K8s; WebApps; Messaging/Queues; API Gateways) acceptable.
  • ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm PHT
