Job Title: Sounds and Lights Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Sounds and Lights Technician to handle the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio and lighting systems for events, conferences, and special functions. The role ensures that all sound and lighting effects run smoothly to create a professional and engaging event experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and dismantle sound systems (microphones, mixers, speakers, amplifiers) and lighting equipment.
  • Conduct sound checks and lighting tests prior to events.
  • Monitor and adjust audio and lighting during live events for optimal quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with event organizers, performers, and production teams to meet technical requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and inventoried.
  • Follow safety procedures for electrical and stage setups.
  • Keep up to date with new sound and lighting technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sound and Lights Technician, Audio Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of sound systems, lighting rigs, and control consoles (analog and digital).
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle last-minute adjustments.
  • Good teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in stage/event productions (hotel banquets, concerts, conferences).
  • Knowledge of DMX lighting systems and software-controlled lighting.
  • Basic knowledge of video projection and visual effects is an advantage.
