About the Role

The Events and Activations Specialist is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Nexus General Manager / Head of Marketing Services. This role is responsible for the strategy, planning, and seamless execution of on-ground brand activations and events for the brands and clients under our care. As a key member of the Marketing Services team, the Events and Activations Specialist plays a vital role in bringing brands to life through impactful experiences that drive engagement, awareness, and conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Activations Strategy & Execution – Leads the end-to-end planning and implementation of on-ground brand activations, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience engagement.
  • Sales & Business Development – Actively pitches agency services to potential clients, contributes to proposal development, and supports business growth initiatives.
  • Client Management – Builds and maintains strong client relationships through regular communication, clear reporting, and value-driven presentations.
  • Budget & Resource Management – Ensures all projects are delivered on time and within budget, efficiently managing resources such as manpower, materials, and logistics. Coordinates with internal teams and external partners—including manpower agencies, production houses, fabricators, logistics providers, and suppliers—to ensure smooth execution and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cross-functional Coordination – Collaborates closely with internal teams such as creative, production, and operations, as well as external stakeholders like venue partners, brand representatives, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless and cohesive execution across all event elements.

Objectives / Key Outcomes

  • Excellence in Execution: 100% of activations executed on time and aligned with brand/client goals (Timeliness & Quality)
  • Business Growth & Delivery: Contributes to new business wins while successfully managing and delivering a growing number of activations and events annually (Sales Growth & Scale)
  • Audience Reach & Engagement: Ensures each activation meets or exceeds target reach and engagement metrics (e.g., foot traffic, samples distributed, sign-ups/conversions, or social amplification).
  • Client Satisfaction: Achieves a minimum of 4.5/5 client satisfaction rating for each project delivered (Quality)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in creative, marketing, or activation agencies
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing brand activations, events, or experiential marketing campaigns
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines
  • Proactive, creative, and solutions-driven, with a passion for brand storytelling and experience marketing
  • Familiarity with event logistics, supplier coordination, and on-ground team management is a must
