Banquet and Events Officer

Job Summary
The Banquet and Events Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events at The Upper Deck Sports and Recreation Center. This role ensures that all banquets, corporate functions, and special events are delivered seamlessly, meeting both client expectations and company service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle client inquiries, bookings, and event proposals
- Coordinate event requirements including menus, layouts, equipment, and staffing
- Prepare event function sheets and ensure smooth communication across departments (kitchen, service, housekeeping, technical, etc.)
- Supervise event set-up, program flow, and on-the-day execution
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide post-event follow-up
- Monitor event budgets and ensure cost efficiency
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service during events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, or related field preferred
- At least 2 years' experience in events, banquets, or hospitality management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
- Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Highly detail-oriented, polished, and professional in appearance
