Job Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring that all works comply with approved plans, specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The role involves coordination with engineers, subcontractors, workers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project implementation and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Coordination

  • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and schedules.
  • Assign tasks to foremen and laborers; coordinate with subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
  • Prepare and submit daily site progress reports.

2. Project Planning & Documentation

  • Review plans, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Assist in preparing work schedules and progress monitoring.
  • Maintain project logs and update documents regularly.

3. Materials & Equipment Management

  • Prepare material and equipment requests.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for material issuance following company policy.
  • Manage material allocation, usage, and inventory on-site.
  • Report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Validate work prior to concrete pouring, installation, or fabrication.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and safety regulations.

5. Safety & Risk Management

  • Coordinate with the Safety Officer to ensure safety compliance.
  • Enforce PPE usage and safety protocols.
  • Report hazards, unsafe acts, and incidents immediately.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and higher management.
  • Attend coordination meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and suppliers when needed.

7. Problem-Solving & Technical Support

  • Address technical issues on-site promptly.
  • Recommend practical solutions and corrective actions.
  • Assist in resolving site concerns that may cause project delays

Qualifications

  • Educational Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required (based on company requirement).
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in construction (vertical or horizontal).
  • Fresh graduates are welcome depending on the company's training program.
  • Experience in supervision, site coordination, or project documentation is preferred.
